How to use a Ouija Board

The most common suggestion in using the Ouija Board is that two people, preferably a male and a female sit at the board with elbows on the table where the Ouija board rests. Your fingers are then lightly placed on the planchette in the center of the board. While many people place the board between them on their laps we have found it easier and more comfortable to use a tabe top set at the right height for both users.

The board shoult be clean and free of any dust or moisture to allow the planchette to slide easily.

It is most often suggested that you begin using the board by calling out loud "Is anyone there?" or something similar. However many people who focus on the boards strong magical abilities believe that this is asking for trouble. Would you open the front door of your house and invite any stranger passing by to come in and make themselves at home?

They believe that you must know exactly who you want to speak with and where they are coming from.

One thing to keep in mind is that only one person should be asking the questions at a time. Often you can designate one person beforehand to be the question asker to clear up any misunderstandings or problems that could occur later.

Sometimes a third party can be used to sit on the side and take notes during your session. This is important if you are serious about your work with the board and helps you remember exactly what information was obtained from your session.

Even if you are using the talking board for fun or entertainment it is best if you do not laugh at everything or get distracted by outside people or events for the best results to be seen.

Another important consideration is when NOT to use the Ouija Board. Many people suggest that it should not be used while under the influence of any drugs, including Alcohol and Marijuana. Also anyone who is sick or emotionally disturbed should not be using the Ouija Board for communication. Emotionally unbalanced people can reach strange conclusions about the information passed on and act on it in irrational ways while anyone who is sick or has a cold can bring a type of bad energy to the board and influence the results.

Most parents would also not want their youngsters using the board especially unsupervised despite the picture on the box cover of the store bought Ouija Board having two young teenagers.

Anyone who strongly believes in the existance of the Devil or the power of Demons would be wise to stay away from using the board. Their unconcious beliefs will surface in some way during its use despite all claims of remaining objective.
