The Ouija Board officially came into being with the patent filed by Elijah Bond and Charles Kennard on May 28, 1890, and was sold as a novelty board game long before the company was bought out by Parker Brothers/Milton Bradley in 1966.

Though variations of the Board and Planchette combination have been in use throughout history the name Ouija Board was said to have come from a seance conducted by Charles Kennard and was supposed to mean "Good Luck" in Egyptian, a popular theme in occult and psychic reading circles in those days.

Some also believe that the current Board game design was invented by and stolen from Aleister Crowley, occultist and the so called Wickedest Man In the World.

How does the Ouija Board work? That question remains for the individual users to answer. This website is a Record of Psychic Readings using the Ouija Board as a tool to find the answers that so far have eluded us.

We look forward to all feedback and suggestions.

Statement of Purpose

Our goal is not to determine what is happening with the Ouija Board, i.e. spiritual, or psychosematic. Our goal is to find out if the information gleaned from its use has any "Real World" practical value. Or is it after all "Just A Game"?
